Your Kid Doesn't Need Another Summer Camp…

They Need A Musical Experience That Will Last a Lifetime

Write & Record a Song in One Week

@ our

Weekly Summer Songwriting Workshop

· Ages 7–14

· Billerica, MA

· July & August 2026

Are your kids out of school all summer and you don’t want them staring at screens until their eyes glaze over?

We’ve got a musically creative and totally rockin’ summer alternative.

Write and Record a Song in One Week!

At the Rhythm & Strings Summer Songwriting Workshop, your child will come to our studio and join a small band of their peers on Monday.

They’ll spend each day working together to write an original song from scratch; learning their parts on drums, guitar, bass, piano, voice, and other percussion by playing fun music games designed to spur creativity all while building foundational musical skills.

Every day there are plenty of movement breaks and each afternoon includes time outdoors at a nearby park for lunch and more opportunities for traditional games/exercise.

On Friday afternoon, each band will set up in our studio and the red recording light will turn on as they perform and record the song they wrote together that week. The best part is that each recording will be filmed, then professionally mixed and mastered along with the audio and shared digitally so your family can watch it and listen to it all summer long.

Who knows, maybe your kid could write the next viral hit song this summer!

No musical experience is needed. All skill levels accepted and ALL instruments and materials required to participate will be provided.

Imagine Picking Your Kid Up On Friday with a Hit Record in their hand...

On Friday afternoons during our summer songwriting workshop, each “band” sets up in the studio and records the original song they wrote together during their workshop week. The live performance is professionally recorded and filmed and shared digitally with every student-family.

When parents pick up at 3pm, your child likely won't want to leave. They'll be talking about the song they wrote and recorded, who they played with on “the record", and they’ll be asking if they can keep playing music after the week is over.

They will have made real friends in the workshop too. Kids they didn't know on Monday but will want to continue to hang out with and “jam” with after their workshop week is over.

That's five days of musical games and creativity, one original song recorded, and friendships they didn't have before.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "Tuesday is a long day for our family, but my son says 'the best thing about Tuesday is my drum lesson after school!' He's gone from never holding a drumstick to playing along with Nirvana in just a few weeks."

— Karen, parent of a 10-year-old student

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "Rhythm and Strings has been an incredible experience from start to finish. Jarred is not only talented but also patient, energetic, and genuinely passionate about teaching. Never boring, always a perfect mix of technique, practice, and fun."
