Here's Exactly How It Works.
STUDY
We begin with a beginner bass curriculum focused on the fundamentals: proper technique, basic theory, and reading music so you can confidently play songs. This is where real progress happens and where many studios lose students. Our lessons stay engaging and motivating by balancing focused skill-building with opportunities for creative exploration and playing the music you love.
PLAY
Once your foundation is in place, we pivot to real songs. Songs you actually want to play, pulled straight from your playlist. We work each song section-by-section until you can play it the whole way through. No arbitrary exercises. No songs you didn't choose.
RECORD
When you're ready, we reserve a lesson as your recording day. Mics go up, camera rolls. We record as many takes as we can, then mix and master the final result and deliver it to you digitally. Yours to keep forever.
For most beginners, that first recording happens around month two.
Then we do it again. We measure progress track by track.

Here's Exactly What Happens When You Walk In For Your Trial Lesson
Your free trial lesson isn't an assessment. It isn't paperwork. It isn't a studio tour.
It’s a real music lesson.
Within the first session you'll meet your instructor, sit down at with the bass, play bass lines from real songs, and leave knowing exactly what to work on when you get home. Our professional instructors are here to help you get better one song at a time.
After the trial lesson is over, we will:
Email you to confirm your lesson length and time
Send you a digital enrollment package to review
Share our piano buying guide if you need help finding an instrument to practice with at home

Absolutely!
Most of our bass students came in with no experience at all. We make sure beginners feel comfortable and confident from day one.
Our goal?
To have you playing grooves from songs you love within just a few lessons, and more importantly, to view yourself as musician.

Private bass lessons begin around the age 12-13 as most kids have grown enough to physically play the bass guitar.
We also offer early childhood music & movement programs for younger kids (and their grownups!).
Adults are always welcome too. It's never too late to start.

But after you enroll, we do ask that you bring your own bass to lessons. Need help choosing one? We're happy to guide you through the buying process with recommendations.

Not at all! Many bassists start directly on bass without learning guitar first. While the instruments are closely related, they serve different musical roles.
If you're drawn to bass, the groove, the rhythm, being the foundation of the band, then start with bass. The fundamentals transfer well if you ever want to pick up guitar later.

For beginners, we typically recommend a 4-string electric bass (not 5 or 6-string). Look for brands like Squier, Ibanez, or Yamaha in the $200-400 range.
For younger students (ages 7-12), consider a junior or short-scale bass that's easier to handle. We can provide specific recommendations based on your size and budget.

Lessons are scheduled weekly at the same time each week, in 30- or 60-minute sessions.
We do offer makeup lessons (with some guidelines) and will work with you to find a time that fits your routine.
