Your Free Trial Drum Lesson
Your free trial lesson isn't an assessment. It isn't paperwork. It isn't a studio tour.
It’s a real drum lesson.
Within the first session you'll meet your instructor, sit down behind the drum set, play real music, and leave knowing exactly what to work on when you get home. Our professional instructors are here to help you get better one song at a time.
After the trial lesson is over, we will:

Send you a digital enrollment package to review
Share our drum buying guide if you need help finding a kit to practice with at home
Interested in another instrument? We also teach guitar lessons, piano lessons, and bass lessons at our Billerica studio.
-
Absolutely! Most of our drum students came in with no experience at all. We make sure beginners feel comfortable and confident from day one.
Our goal? To have them playing the beats & rhythms from songs they love within just a few lessons — and more importantly, to see themselves as drummers.
-
Private drum lessons begin at age 7, but we also have early childhood music & movement programming for younger kids (and their grownups!). Check out wigglegroove.com for more info.
Adults are welcome too. It's never too late to start drumming.
-
Not for the FREE trial. We've got you covered at the studio.
But after you enroll, we recommend a practice pad and sticks for home practice (around $30-50 to get started). When you're ready, we'll guide you through choosing an electronic or acoustic kit that fits your space and budget.
-
Both work great! Electronic kits are perfect for apartments (headphone jacks for silent practice), cost less, and take up less space. Acoustic kits offer the most authentic feel and sound.
For beginners, we recommend starting with a practice pad, then adding an electronic kit or acoustic kit when you're ready. We'll guide you through the purchasing decisions based on your space and budget.
-
Lessons are scheduled weekly at the same time each week, in 30- or 60-minute sessions.
We do offer makeup lessons (with some guidelines) and will work with you to find a time that fits your routine.
-
Our game-based approach and focus on songs kids love helps keep them engaged long-term. That said, it's normal for motivation to fluctuate.
We work with families to keep lessons fresh, switching up songs, introducing new techniques, or even offering jam sessions with other students. Plus, our money-back guarantee means you can try risk-free.
-
It can and it should. Playing drums is one of the few activities you can enjoy for life, whether you're jamming with friends, joining a band, or just playing along to your favorite songs.
Our students stick with lessons because they're learning music that inspires them, not just reading through some old method book, and struggling on their own.
